Foilkite there are two different. One that has open cells and cannot be used in water. You use this on snow or land. Closed cell kite has closed cells and can be used both in water, snow and on land. It is more stable as it does not release any air when the wind does not press all the time.

Advantages of foilkite are that the kite is lighter and you do not have to inflate the kite. With top-tour equipment, a foilkite becomes the easiest option on the mountain.
